Leslie Nelson is a seasoned private equity and energy executive with over 25 years of global business experience, including 15 years in Africa. A British citizen with Ghanaian roots, Leslie has held senior leadership roles across finance, energy, and infrastructure, most notably as CEO of GE Africa’s $1B Power business and Country CEO for GE in Ghana. He also served as Managing Director for Africa at New Fortress Energy (NASDAQ: NFE), helping to take the company public in 2019. Today, Leslie is the founder of an Africa-focused energy transition platform, working to decarbonize and expand access to affordable power across the continent in partnership with Africa’s largest private equity firm. Educated in both the UK and the U.S., with an MBA in Finance and Global Business from NYU Stern, Leslie combines financial expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and operational leadership to deliver transformative impact in global markets.
